I love LOVE LOVED the Hydrangea balls, but I needed some kind of neutral and a different texture to balance out the hydrangea petals. That being said, I liked the twine balls from Wedding Favours, but I didn’t have any balloons and I had one of those “I want to do it now!” moments (^_^). Thanks to Pinterest, I found Factory Direct Craft‘s Tutorial. Out of the three types of balls you see in the vase, the twine is by far the easiest and least time consuming….
Decorative Balls Part I: Hydrangea
I like being crafty and sometimes I find inspiration when I’m at one of those stores. You know, the stores you walk in to, fall in love with something, and try to decide if you really love it when you look at the price tag. Well, it’s Spring and it’s time to change out my Winter home decorations. I was walking through Pier 1 one day and saw some decorative spheres that I thought would look cute in a vase on my coffee table. After I got home, I looked through Pinterest and thought the tutorials from Ectetorize and Project Nursery were doable….
And the Blog Journey Begins…
Hi (^_^)!
Welcome to Make It Maddy!
I always wanted to start a blog, who am I kidding, there have been a bunch of things I wanted to do, but didn’t because I always had some excuse not to. Over the years, I have slowly gained more confidence in myself and finally, I have enough confidence to put myself out there on a blog. I’m hoping that this blog will help give you the same confidence to do something you always wanted to do and be creative. (^_^)
So what can you expect to see here? CRAFTS! And LOTS of FOOD!! Yes, I will be the first to admit it; I’m somewhat of a Foodie and Maker. Like a lot of folks, I get addicted to Pinterest every now and then, I follow blogs, and my TV is usually tuned into Food or DIY related shows. Sometimes I actually make some of the items I have pinned, liked, or drooled over (^_^). I’ll be documenting my trials and tribulations with those items and my lessons learned.
I’m super excited to begin this blog journey with you! Stay tuned and maybe one day you’ll say, “Can you make this Maddy?”
